does anyone know how single cup coffee works?
September 26, 2009 by: Admin
Can I use all types of capsules, t-discs and k-cups in all types of machines or each brand needs their own type?
If there are any that work with different types, which ones?

Each type of single serve coffee makers have different mechanism. Some use pods, others capsules, t-discs or k-cups. In general, you cannot use pods in a machine that is designed for t-discs, k-cups or capsules (and vice versa). If you want flexibility, then k-cup brewers are a good bet. The choice of k-cups is very wide and – if you get a little gizmo – you can also use most coffee pods. Well, you can even use your own coffee if you wish.
It depends on the brand of machine. Some use discs or pods that other brands also use, and some machines can only use their specific brand. You need to do some research if you are interested in single cup machines.
